I've submitted an IA on the affordable rental units under construction at 502-508 Parliament Street so that we, the community, can better understand what has led to project delays and cost escalations. I look forward to receiving a response ahead of this week's City Council meeting.

It was meaningful to see all levels of government come together this morning to recommit to addressing the legacy of settler colonialism that underpins all aspects of our work. Thank you to Toronto Council Fire for hosting the annual Indigenous Legacy Gathering and inviting us to stand with you.

Today we wear our orange shirts to honour all of the children who never returned home from residential schools and to acknowledge the ongoing impacts of the system felt by survivors and their communities.

In just over three years, HQ has done transformative work destigmatizing health care and creating a community hub for mlm, two-spirit, trans and non-binary people. It was wonderful to see that community in action at their drag brunch fundraiser this weekend!

I fully support speed cameras in Community Safety Zones and School Zones because it’s imperative to protect innocent pedestrians, children, and seniors from dangerous drivers.

The lives and safety of children and seniors aren’t worth scoring cheap political points over.

I truly hope that no-one gets hit or seriously injured in any location that has its speed camera removed.

Protecting pedestrians, especially children and seniors from speeding and dangerous drivers is critical. I fully support speed cameras in our Community Safety Zones. One injury or death is one too many. #VisionZero #AutomatedSpeedEnforcement #RoadSafety #TOpoli

My statement on the closure of the AIDS Committee of Toronto
It is truly bittersweet that the AIDS Committee of Toronto will be winding-down and closing.
For more than 40 years here in Toronto Centre, ACT has played a crucial and vital role in supporting and advocating for those living with HIV.
In many ways, this closure is a fulfillment of what we’ve all been hoping and working for since the beginning of the AIDS epidemic: advances in medications, and especially the HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, have had such a seismic impact that next year, ACT itself projects that it will have less than ⅓ of the service users it had in 2019.
My heart goes out to ACT’s staff and service users affected by this, and my unwavering gratitude goes to all of ACT's volunteers, supporters, and allies over the years.
I recognize the importance of the work that ACT has regularly done in putting together condom and lube boxes that are distributed throughout the Church/Wellesley Community, and my team and I are committed to working with ACT and the Community to ensure that this necessary work continues.

Toronto’s sidewalks are for pedestrians 🚶, so don’t ride on them!

E-bikes & other rideables (excluding assistive mobility devices) on sidewalks endanger pedestrians, especially seniors, children, & people with disabilities.
