🚨!!RELEASE DAY!!🚨

So excited to finally be able to share this with everyone. If you're a fan of Star Trek style adventures, where the character stories matter as much as the main story, I think you'll be a fan of this!

Day 2 of the sale! Lots of positive reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. Please check it out if you love cozy sci-fi in a similar vein to Becky Chambers Wayfarers series!

I assume you're not interested in anything that's already been self-published? Always worth asking just Incase? 😅

Is Kobo or the Barnes and Noble digital platform any good. Looking at removing my ebook from Amazon

Awesome, appreciate it man!

I honestly didn't even know old-school book blogs were still a thing. Everything I read told me it was social media platforms nowadays (which also only really work if your genre is romantasy).

Are there any in particular you'd recommend reaching out to for cozy sci-fi/YA Star Trek style books?
chrisradley.bsky.social
I have not! What is this witchery of which you speak?
chrisradley.bsky.social
Yeah I figured that was probably the case. I would much rather sink the $500 into ads , would likely see a bigger return—that said, I'm happy with my 1-2 organic sales every week 😉

Question for my fellow #writers out there - does getting a Kirkus Review actually do anything for you, or is it just a moneymaking thing for them?

Checked my Amazon reports and I made another sale yesterday. It's awesome knowing that there's people out there interested in buying my book, who I don't personally know!

This isn't in any of my books (yet), but I had the coolest idea for a weapon and had to write a quick piece about it.

A fun exercise in what happens when you apply the musical physics of your universe to weapons as well as technology.

Ava stood her ground, feet set wide, defiance locked on the opponent before her. She reached across to her left bicep and pulled free the handle strapped there. Her gaze didn’t waver. Every thought fixed on the beast ahead. She remembered her training with Tir, tried to rein in her rage by narrowing her eyes—but that only sharpened her vision on the target.

No one hurts my friends.

With a sharp downward flick, she dropped her arm back to her side. A blade shot out from the handle, snapping into place as if it were part of her. She twisted her wrist a quarter-turn. Light surged through the inlaid patterns, racing from hilt to tip like molten metal filling a mold. As each section of the retractable blade caught the glow, the edge blurred, vibrating too fast to hold a single form.

The PhonoSword was a warrior’s weapon. Once wielded in Heraclitian wars, it had become a relic of ceremony. But that was before this vile creature nearly killed Zumi. Ceremony meant nothing now. Justice came first.

On September 13th I'll be remove Zero-Point Symphony from Kindle Unlimited. Amazon has been doing a lot of shady stuff recently, especially with Audible, and I don't want to support any of their subscription models.

OMG I'd love to attend these, where do I find out where and when they happen?
chrisradley.bsky.social
Appreciate the support, I would say it's more on the Star Trek side of sci-fi, mostly focused on characters and has some cool world building, easy to understand technobabble.

I hope you enjoy, let me know!
