These missions' weakness is that many struggle to articulate how strategies for tackling societal issues will directly translate into urgent, immediate GHG reduction, or how they'll double the effect tomorrow. GHGs have a time value: 1 ton/year displaced today is far better than next year.

It is likely that legume intake is associated with lower risk of MASLD, but there wasn't enough evidence on gallstones to conclude much with certainty.

So PhD student Fie Langmann led a team effort to do a comprehensive scoping review of all the published literature on legume consumption in relation to MASLD and gallstones.

We found that the literature was scarce and often of low methodological quality. But some overall conclusions are: 2/3

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

I do a lot of events for kids, and I normally start by asking them what they like to read (and that's ANY type of reading, ANY format). For that key age of 8-12, I used to hear a good range of books, but it's been getting smaller. Lately, I get a lot of Wimpy Kid & Dog Man. 2/20
