Thanks, I stand corrected! Maybe the difference is contentious current policy papers (that they typically redact). I have not had one in <20 days ever I don't think. Journalists would probably have that same personal experience.

requests for documents always take 20 working days at least. The overall numbers are skewed downward by some routine data inquiries (which are responded to in a day or two) being included. e.g. MPI answered 1026 requests in an average of 16.3 days but a median of 2.0 days.

Thanks - interesting - I don't think there's a separate switch here, pretty sure the inverter makes the islanding decision itself, but that does rely on having the right kind of inverter. Cool that there is a retrofit option for inverters that don't do that!

Grid tied systems with a home battery have a backup power mode, where the inverter disconnects you from the grid if there's an outage, reconnects when it's over. It's a useful resilience feature in locations with outages.

I often question am I part of feeding the broken machine, or am I helping to fix it a little piece at a time.

I still don't know.

I stayed with my church to protect the trans kids in my youth group, and then the anti-queer pastors left, and eventually the haters left. They took 1/3 of our budget with them, but still our leaders decided it was the right thing to do to become fully LGBTQIA welcoming.

Now I am the pastor of the church and we are doing our best to apologize, to move forward with love, and to serve our community. I like to say we throw love at the wall and see what sticks right now. If we disagree on scripture, we let Jesus’ words and actions be the tie breaker. We are not perfect by any means, but we are trying to lead with love.

Part of serving our community in Portland right now is standing in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors. Many of our people are protesting and writing, and doing all the things one can legally and peacefully.

The largest protest in the week – leading up to the announcement that troops would be sent – included over 100 pastors.

Two of the most common climate misconceptions I see, even among knowledgeable folks, are that (1) most people aren't worried about climate change, and (2) if they were, they'd act.

Not true! Data show (1) most people are worried, but (2) they won’t act if they don’t know what to do-and most don’t.
