Or thunderstorms too. My grandma was a child during WW2. Her getting restless and nervous whenever thunder was approaching is one of my earliest childhood memories.

Yes. Had this talk about fireworks once with a Syrian refugee. He said it was okay for him now, many years after leaving the war zone but he knew people who get flashbacks from fireworks.

Trump deserves no credit for this ceasefire - even in a backhanded way. He could have stopped the war this entire past year. If you have to thank someone - and there is little to be thankful for given the ruins of Gaza - please thank the global protest movement.

Ceasefire and Bluesky deletes Palestinian accounts or labels them as spam as always. Gaza is destroyed. No more bombs (hopefully!) is a huge step but the people still need support. Shame on you @bsky.app for denying this!
