I haven't been to the train station for a while. Today I noticed that LNER have added sign language to their departure boards. I'm intrigued by the technical aspects, and impressed at the effort to make the service accessible to more people.

It's lovely to see the ghost dolls house sneaking into the background there. I remember when there were regular updates about it.

I think I started wondering about this phenomenon back in the 1990s with "end of year" album lists that appeared in November. Just jettison, what, 8% of the year? I know it'll include more than 92% the year's releases but still.

You know all those end of year stats that apps like to produce this time of year: what happens to the December stats? Are they rolled into next year, or just ignored forever?
