Except for that ground ball to end yesterday’s game! Haha. But he has been one of the few bright lights last few weeks. He can’t do it all. The offense will regress at least somewhat to their earlier season numbers. A lot of baseball left to play!

If you’re a baseball fan at all you should know it’s to honor Ryne Sandberg who just died of cancer. Seemed like you were making light of that. If you didn’t know Sandberg died and that he’s a Cubs legend. I apologize.

Trump is doing all he wants to and can to do in hopes of being impeached. It will reinforce his persecution complex. If he goes too far and senate removes him, he doesn’t care, Vance will take over. He will still be spiritual (and actual) leader of the right wing and de facto president.
Yeah, he deserved the praise. But it was a small sample and it may have been unfair to Smith’s development if they put him on the big league roster too early.
Didn’t love trading him for one year of Tucker. But I hope he figures it out and becomes a success story. One weird thing—almost all of his success in the spring was against Mets pitching. 10 of his 13 hits and all of his HRs.
Is it possible tho that Schumer may be right that shutdown would have been worse? Trump doesn’t live by the norms & would have stalled any negotiations on a new CR and he could have unilaterally decided what gov agencies and services to keep open. It would be perfect excuse for DOGE to do its worst
I wish Maher would have been corrected about California. In California kids under 18 do not have the right to make medical decisions. Cal law is that schools don’t have to inform parents that their child wishes to identify as a gender different than their birth certificate while at school. Thats it.
Yeah. I just feel like if there was an extension involved it would have been announced with the trade. At this point, I don't see why Tucker would take an extension. Cubs could sign him after 2025. But he will likely get $400+ million as a free agent. So that doesn't seem likely.
