The worst thing about ZA is how it changed throwing your pokemon out to be up and down on the dpad instead of toggling what ZR does like in Arceus.

The number of times I’ve just thrown a pokeball trying to send Tepig to tackle a mega crystal is absurdly high I will never learn.

Every Pokémon fan that even for a second starts to complain about meta, balancing, the games being too easy, or say a new random game will teach Game Freak a lesson has to complete one non-Nintendo made RPG before continuing to be upset at the franchise that was built on making a genre approachable

I hate the "kids game" excuse as much as anyone, especially bc kids do deserve GOOD polished games, but the direction Pokémon fan games/fan discussions tend to take the series makes me feel like we've forgotten what this franchise is, why it works, and why we all liked it to begin with.

Pokémon games are french fries. The restaurant absolutely needs to clean/modernize their frying vat, but too many hardcore fans have been ordering fries from this place for the last decade+ and expecting au Gratin Potatoes.

A new frying vat won't change that.
