Today I am starting a thread of my Top 25 Exploitation Films. I am going to try and cover a decent range of sub-genres and pick films I think are the best examples of those sub-genres. I will be going from 25 to 1 and I will update it daily. Thread starts below. 🎥 #Filmsky

I literally made this exact mistake 15 minutes ago in person with a friend as well ffs, memory of stoned goldfish at times. I shall bump 1917 up the list.

Sorry he didn't do Casino! I always make that mistake. Sorry Martin.

The shot that introduces Maguire is absolutely excellent. A beautiful vertigo shot that makes excellent use of the seemingly endless structure around him. It's so off kilter, the vibes are bad, you immediately are just incredibly suspicious of this guy, in a split second.
Wide shot, a man in a suit carrying stuff in each hand, walks towards us in the centre of the frame. Underneath a metal bridge/train track.

I haven't seen 1917 actually. I would have Casino Royale and Skyfall up there, they are excellent films imo

He's made some cracking films imo

No, somehow I hadn't but I'm really glad I have. I feel comfortable calling it a masterpiece.

When Sullivan's family is killed and it becomes a horror film briefly? Beautiful.

I just watched Road to Perdition and I am going to gush over it in a review proper. But wow, I really think it's one of the best shot films I've ever seen. I was in awe. Routinely beautiful, there are some sequences that are breathtaking. The blocking, the lighting, the framing, it is exquisite.

Can see from your timeline you're a cult member, reality won't pierce your racist dome.

Can you imagine how quickly Labour would change their stance on FPTP if the Greens were polling like Reform are lol

Customer asked where I've been, I started to explain that I missed a week because of covid, they immediately started going on about how I must have had something else because covid isn't real. I just walked away without saying anything? Not engaging with that today pal.

Yeah I think while there may be many issues with electoral politics, the positive impact of the Greens doing well would be too big for me not to vote for/back them as a member.

Yeah you're definitely right about Labour, if Labour could even keep up the pretence of caring about left wing people then the Greens would still be doing what they've been doing. And yes 100%! That open disrespect is so needed.
cineblah.bsky.social
Yeah it's definitely true recent events have allowed for the Greens transformation
cineblah.bsky.social
The Labour attacks on the Greens are going to get steadily more hysterical

So it's not vital then?

Yep! Turns out people respond to passion!
