If the Trump administration begins to go off a cliff b/c of the economy, a war in Venezuela, or the Epstein files catching up to Trump, do you think Fox News will change its tune or stick with him? Your thoughts.

Kennedy’s vision of a country built up through the service of its citizens is fundamentally incompatible with the vulgar cynicism of the current president.

Does anyone else here listen to/watch "The Warning" with Steve Schmidt? He is gruff and loud, but I think he tells it like it is. I like him.

We can do away with it without a new Supreme Court. Nor do we need a constitutional amendment. There’s a far simpler way.

Friends - Have you seen NSPM 7 - an order of the president called "Countering Domestic Terrorism and Organized Political Violence." It's on the White House website and is frightening, indeed. The reasons justifying it are all lies. You can read it here:

The deal proposed by Trump (and Putin) gives everything to Russia and nothing to the Ukraine. In 1944, "Nuts" was the response given by Brig. Gen. Anthony McAuliffe when the Germans demanded his U.S. forces surrender. I hope that's what Zelensky says.

Friends-I watched all 6 episodes of Ken Burns' "American Revolution." I learned a lot, enjoyed a lot & winced a lot. I remain in awe of the tremendous suffering our forebears endured & the sacrifices they made to win our liberty. Tonight, I'm feeling very tender towards & protective of our country.

I finished watching the last episode of Ken Burns' "American Revolution," & wondered if anyone in the administration also watched. If so, they saw that our forebears suffered so much & sacrificed so much for 7 long years to win our liberty. No tin-pot dictator is ever going to take it away.

The universe sometimes brings good from bad, no? The Trump presidency reveals many things in need of light-the lack of affordability in housing, health care, child care, jobs. The role of billionaires in our elections, corruption at the top & the weakness of a bootlicking Congress & Supreme Court.

Heather Cox Richardson spoke today about ending Trump's reign via impeachment. She thinks Republicans might go along b/c Trump's of little use to them now-his MAGA base is splintering, the economy's a wreck, corruption is blatant & then there's Epstein, none of which will help their next elections.

When Harry Truman left office, he had many opportunities to get rich. He turned them down, saying "I could never lend myself to any transaction, however respectable, that would commercialize the prestige and dignity of the office of the presidency." What a contrast to our current King of the Grift.
