I'm a lifelong Texan and had many co-workers who joined the National Guard--in almost all cases because they needed the money. Do they trend conservative? Probably. So does the military. None I knew were terrible people, and I knew a GOP Guard officer who changed to Democrat over abortion.

Convenient that investigations are "undercover" and hidden, so that nobody knows if he is lying. So far, Paxton's lawsuits have been against Beto O'Rourke and even the GOP-filled appellate court dismissed those cases as an attack on the first amendment. Paxton attempting to draw Trump's attention.
