I don't get why Reform and the Tories want someone to lose their citzenship because of anti-semitic taunts years ago; but don't want Farage's citizenship taken away because of anti-semitic taunts years ago. If one goes so should the t'other.

Brexit was a tactic by USophiles like Johnson (half American) and Farage (spends more time in the US than in Clacton) to get us into the clutches of the USA, the only market large enough to substitute for the EU market and one where we can have no voice or influence.

Trump's government says hate speech is free speech but censors anti-hate speech as censorship which adds to the confusion as Trump has already re-branded lies as truth and truth as fake www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...

I nibbled haws today. Never seen so many red berries. Stepfather called haws cheese and ate a lot when his family lived in deep poverty in the 1930s. Beautiful day. Blue sky. November was warmest on record. Mild December so far.

Peers coming out our ears 👂👂Blair created 374 because the Lords House had been packed with Tories. Cameron 245. Johnson 87. May 43, Sunak 51 and Liz Truss 29 before you could say lettuce 🥬. Starmer has only created 62 and this time allowed Tories 3, LibDems 5. No Greens 😒

A social media ban for under-16s is probably a good thing not just in Australia but worldwide. The question is what teenagers will do instead. If nothing is in place will they take to other addictions - comfort eating? drugs? gambling? Or will they settle for board games, crochet and patience?

Labour government doesn't like landlords having no-fault evictions then puts a no-fault end clause in its Elms contracts. Why? Disastrous for farmers, wildlife, nature. Also slashes nature recovery money from 1/3 of £2.4bn a year to £500m over 20 yr. Nuts. www.pressreader.com/usa/the-guar...

Until 2010 strict campaign cost limit stopped wealthy people hogging our democracy or buying their way in. Tories then excluded cost of transport so candidates could fly without limit. That suited Farage. Now Everett says Farage's team still went over the limit but cooked the books. Believable?

Farage being outed as a racist schoolboy won't do him any harm with his following. Probably no coincidence that he suddenly gets £ms from an expat donor.

Trump vowed to get prices down “from day one” and to make peace in a week. He didn't keep his vows but his voters indulge him. Reform promised to reduce council tax and can't do it but their voters don't mind. Starmer made lots of pledges he isn't keeping. Do most voters prefer politicians who lie?
