As a result of another Russian attack, the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions have been almost completely left without power - Ukrainian Ministry of Energy.

No power. No heat. No water. In the dead of winter.

Misers and heartless Scrooges who hoard their gold used to be unpopular. Now people vote for them as leaders. Is selfless public service out of fashion?

The govt new Road Safety Strategy has nice piccies of children walking, cycling or in pushchairs but I can't work out from the text what will actually reduce child pedestrian casualties in the near future. Pedestrian detection tech in new cars won't have an effect for a decade.

Isn't that what one would expect of a Reform council leaader? He doesn't like taxes so he doesn't pay them.
A Reform council leader behind a “Doge”-style crackdown on public spending owns two firms now in administration owing £1.5 million, including over £500,000 in unpaid tax, Covid loans, and staff wages.

At last the new Road Safety Strategy which appears to focus on motorbike collisions and over-70s not on children. So why kids on the front? Twee.
Notwithstanding all this, the cover of the new Road Safety Strategy shows three mothers with children on a zebra crossing.

It feels an awful lot like they’re not really the focus of the strategy.

Connor Tomlinson thinks we should all have 'native British ancestry' and run about wearing woad. My ancestry is Norman and Welsh so he would want to deport me to Wales or France, I expect.

I don't get why Reform and the Tories want someone to lose their citzenship because of anti-semitic taunts years ago; but don't want Farage's citizenship taken away because of anti-semitic taunts years ago. If one goes so should the t'other.

Brexit was a tactic by USophiles like Johnson (half American) and Farage (spends more time in the US than in Clacton) to get us into the clutches of the USA, the only market large enough to substitute for the EU market and one where we can have no voice or influence.

I nibbled haws today. Never seen so many red berries. Stepfather called haws cheese and ate a lot when his family lived in deep poverty in the 1930s. Beautiful day. Blue sky. November was warmest on record. Mild December so far.
