Imagine having such a sense of instability in your future. How will this help settle people into work? I remember when Labour were left wing.
At least 160,000 people have been granted refugee status over the past five years. It now seems they are intended to be caught by the Government’s plans to make refugees wait up to 20 years for settlement - even for those just months away from ILR

I love clean hands, only had food poisoning once in many decades, from eating out. But clean air is required to survive hour to hour, day to day. And it is still impossible to ensure in public spaces. Hard to fathom we will soon enter 7th year of this pandemic with disinformation even more common

Protect yourselves from airborne transmission of COVID which can cause vascular & neurological damage amongst other things.

Wear an ffp2/3 respirator
Open windows
Clean the Air
Vaccinate

Vaccines were designed to reduce disease severity. They do not fully protect against infection at this point.

What is long COVID? This is not the messaging in the media. We are seeing ‘no worse than the last infection’ etc but these are the risks!

You can transmit to others for as long as you remain covid positive. Many still testing are aware this is far longer generally than the government recommended 5 days. A friend recently tested positive for 14 days and immunocompromised can last even longer.

Remember the Covid vaccines were designed to reduce severity, not necessarily block infections and any breakthrough infection can lead to long covid, including asymptomatic though a lower risk. Risk is still cumulative.

The risk from surfaces is less than 1 in 10,000 of catching COVID. We should handwash for many reasons but this alone WILL NOT protect you from COVID. 🧵
Here is Dr Barry Jones explaining that they knew from ‘day 1’ it was airborne and a virus of some consequence. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cpR...

I don’t know what the future will hold. I used to plan things but now I live from day to day. Maybe this is a good thing, a realisation that life is incredibly fragile. I am disappointed that we have a government looking away from airborne risk and inclusion. That for five years I have been

The House of Lords library online has many documents you can view on Climate change and mass displacement which is occurring from weather events. You can also see how concerning it is that we are totally underprepared. In fact the only provision seems to be to protect the financial sector.

An important read from the House of Lords Library. Why aren’t Labour talking about mass displacement from climate change. We have so much more to worry about than wasting time on small boats. Tackle the core issue!!
Climate change-induced migration: UK collaboration with international partners
Climate change is likely to increase migration flows over the coming decades. Increasingly frequent and severe extreme weather events are expected to increase “forcible displacements”, and the “slow-o...

We have far more important problems to be dealing with like the growing millions disabled by long covid. Climate change which is going to cause parts of the country to disappear underwater, a shortage of drinking water. People will be going without water.

Rejoining the EU would end the less than 5% of people who come here as illegal migrants. More people are actually leaving each year because they now feel unwelcome living in Britain. People who have contributed their whole lives, nurses, doctors, musicians.

I disagree, small boats is a distraction from climate change mass migration. More people are now displaced globally in their millions by weather events than war but it never makes the media. Brexit caused this problem. We have bigger problems which are being ignored in favour of pandering to Reform

covid causes neuroinflammation.

long covid is more common in kids than asthma now.

this is why we shouldn’t have stopped trying to stop the spread until we had sterilizing vaccines that actually prevent transmission and infection, not just keep people out of the hospital/morgue during infection.

This is exactly what’s happening. Well said Mark. Not the Covid causing neurological damage that is well documented www.ox.ac.uk/news/2022-08...

But also the school-absences story is just...seriously WTF is wrong with these people? Are they so terrified of criticism from pseudoscientific loons that they just won't discuss COVID? So out of touch that they don't know this stuff? Just phoning it in? 🤷

There is no such thing as an intelligent report on increasing school absences due to chronic illness and mental health issues that does not lead with a discussion of the out-of-control virus that causes chronic illness and mental health issues.

@cbcnews.ca has seriously weird biases about COVID. 🙄

If you have seen the movie war games you will understand that ‘the only way to win is not to play’. COVID is like that. The only way to protect ourselves is to push against the flow wear an ffp2, open windows and clean the air.
