The DEP has approved an air permit for a proposed data center campus for Indiana County fast-tracking the project at an alarming rate. If built, this facility will be the largest fracked gas power plant in the nation.

Clean Air Council plans to appeal the DEP’s decision to approve an air quality permit for a proposed $10 billion data center campus in Indiana County. The permit is for a proposed gas-fired power plant, which would supply power to the data center campus and was fast-tracked by the DEP.

The EPA Methane Rule turns 2 today! On December 2, 2023, EPA announced the Methane Rule, which aims to cut climate-warming methane pollution from the oil and gas industry across the US.
