Years of community advocacy by pollution impacted families led to the successful passing of SB 1137 the 3200ft setback, which protects schools and homes from neighboring oil wells. Now this Administrations seeks to end those efforts.

It is shocking to see Katherine M. Butler of #California Dept. of Toxic Substances Control claim that her Dept's hazardous waste included real input from community members. Community input was largely ignored, which is why communities and public advocates called for the plan to be rejected.
