You catch a bus and ride 30m to work on a Monday. It feels dull and neverending. You're grumpy.

You catch a bus and ride 30m to have dinner with your partner. It feels fresh and fun. You're excited!

Both rides are exactly the same. Your mind is what changes.

Next time, try only: "I am on a bus."

Corn on the cob is a food you plan your moves on like an edible strategy game. It makes you think like a lawnmower. I love that

Do you sometimes catch yourself looking for more terrible news, just to push out the terrible news already in your head? (I do.)

It's like washing out poison with poison. It solves nothing, and maybe leaves you worse than before. Why do it?

Sick pose! Look how grounded he feels in those boots. It makes the flexibility even more impressive. And these textures!

I'm pretty proud of my work on this horror character theme. What do you think, does it fit the idea?

And how's my video format? I'm still learning a lot about how to share music effectively online. What would be a cool improvement for next time?

I will *never* call D&D, 'DnD.' That graphic designer SLAYED the ampersand and I won't stand for its erasure

But to *really* do it justice, you'll have to learn them all four or five times in a row
I’m going to learn them all 😈

(If I fail at this goal you’re all allowed to come stand outside my studio window and loudly boo)

It's a shame what we let pass as 'artificial intelligence' these days. True AIs - cognizant, even sentient machines - are going to be so exciting when they actually arrive. All we have for now, though, are these automated forgery tools. Pretty disappointing. Waiting calmly for the real thing.

Loooove these blocks of color, and that it keeps most of the Rider-Waite elements. Really cool style!

To cultivate joy, it is useful to remember that joy exists in the world separately from our own.

Someone is bopping along to their music. A child is excitedly showing something to their mother. Lovers are cuddled up on the train.

Search attentively for those moments, and let reciprocal joy arise.

In my Buddhist reading I've come across a quote to the effect of: 'the news is full of cruel things, because cruel things are surprising news to us. Goodness and caring do not make the news, because they are our default.'

Remember that the world is full of kindness, despite the actions of a few.
One of these days we’ll wake up and the news will be good. It’ll be that thing we’re all waiting for
