It's over, and we won: the Spanish supreme court rejected the local authorities' appeal on our landmark case against industrial livestock pollution.
The judgment is now final: authorities must be accountable for protecting citizens' fundamental rights.

It's a game-changer for communities in Europe⬇️

The @ec.europa.eu plans to revise its own Better Regulations guidelines. This will make the law making process more rushed, less transparent, and less scientific.
And a law that isn't based on scientific evidence and isn't considering its own impact, is a bad law.

We shared our thoughts here:

Europe needs to enforce ocean laws 🌊

The European Commission’s Call for Evidence on the #OceanAct closed yesterday – and it received nearly 800 responses. That level of engagement shows just how high the stakes are.

Remind our leaders what people want them to protect: clean air, safe water, and our health.

Why? Because right now, they are handing out permits to poison our water, food, and nature.

Don't let that happen. Sign our petition now and tell them to keep their #HandsOffNature:

France currently holds a gruesome record in Europe: tens of thousands of seabirds are dying annually off French coasts, caught in fishing gear targeting species like hake, sea bass, and tuna.

This tragedy remains largely invisible, as most bycaught seabirds drown without washing ashore.

BREAKING: we are taking legal action against France for failing to protect seabirds from bycatch. 🎣🐦

With Sea Shepherd FR & Défense des Milieux Aquatiques, we want to ensure that they:

a) Adequately collect data on bycatch.
b) Implement required mitigation measures to reduce this hidden tragedy.

These proposals are part of a broader pattern of attacks, from weakening the EUDR to cutting down protections against chemicals and pesticides, opening the door to increased pollution.

This dismantling goes beyond environmental policy - it undermines democratic accountability.

What we’ve built over the last decades to protect nature is being torn down fast.
