Former Deputy Lord Mayor of Cork, Green Party Councillor for Cork City South East, and formerly the postman in Douglas and Rochestown for 14 years.
Honoured to stand with the Abolish Direct Provision – Amnesty Campaign in Cork today. As a former asylum seeker, I believe all IPAS centres must close and residents must have the right to work and support their families.
Join us in this vital campaign — we are one.

No to the Ringaskiddy Incinerator!
Cork Harbour is shared by city and county. The air we breathe has no boundaries. I’ve brought a Council motion for an incinerator levy to stop this, as the Greens did in 2007. Thanks to CHASE, my fellow councillors and all who’ve campaigned.

Last week in Cork City Council, I spoke about the importance of protecting Cork’s Green Belt and sticking to proper, long-term planning. Opening the Green Belt would only increase traffic, costs, and sprawl. Let’s plan for the future the right way.

I am deeply saddened by this heartbreaking tragedy in the Ballinlough community. My sincere condolences go to all who are affected as they face such an unimaginably difficult time.

Honoured to attend my 2nd council budget meeting today. Real independence means sourcing our own funds. Grateful to all who made it happen.

This week at Cork City Council, I called for Housing First to be adopted as a core strategy in Cork City. We need to put recovery, stability, and compassion at the heart of our housing policy and help the most vulnerable move from homelessness and addiction toward stability and recovery.

I spoke at Cork City Council calling for LUAS Cork to be recognised as a top national priority in the new National Development Plan (2026–2035). Cork has shown real leadership in planning for a sustainable, liveable city. Now we need the same commitment from national government!
