They do. I heard 'em in the breakroom.
I've decided to work on a cyberpunk into solarpunk story. Samuel's story needs told. The mini is from Unit9 on Patreon.
Of course, this wildly disregards aesthetics and atmosphere.
Continuing on my thoughts about solarpunk vs cyberpunk, I think the key difference is the approach to resisting. Most cyberpunk is very individualistic survival themed. Solarpunk is a lot more community resistance themed. I like it.
Earlier this week, we got together a couple of friends and got a couple of playtesting games of S.E.E.R. in. They went really well and it was a lot of fun!
Got it down to where I'm knocking each pair of these out in like 45 minutes. I still need to do at least 3 or 4 more pairs. I may go back and fiddle with this pair a bit more, though. I can see a few areas that are going to be really soft on details once printed. #AnvilIndustry
I got a little more work done on the #BrutalCities Trapper's Lodge kits recently. Working on hiding the battery pack for the LEDs as a power bank with meters. It's going to have a deck grate over the top of it when I'm finished.
Getting a little better and a little faster. I decided the last go were a little too samurai and not quite enough cyber, so I took another swing at it. I'm really liking these results. 2 pairs of arms done. #anvilindustry really makes this easier than I think it would be otherwise.
This is my first go at digital kitbashing and re-posing using Anvil Industry digital bits. I want cyberpunk infantry armored in recognizably Japanese armor. I have a lot of work to do, but for a first attempt and proof of concept, I'll take it! #anvilindustry #blender #3dmodeling #3dprinting
So. Many. Supports. It feels like all I've done today is clean up last week's prints. So many tiny bits. This is the third pile of this size I've done today. #anvilindustry #3dprinting #PhrozenRPG #AnyCubic
I'm confused as to why the original thread has been deleted. I didn't think we were being disrespectful to one another. Or anyone else, for that matter. Did I miss a separate comment thread that got spicy?
Because of course there was never misinformation before the internet, before the printing press, etc. For the purpose of this conversation, "knowledge" and "information" may as well be interchangeable. Again, the topic isn't the content, it's the medium, and again, you're proving the point.
You're onto something there. Here's to hoping we get through this mess a little faster and without all of that. Though my hopes of lower casualty counts are not particularly optimistic with the course things are on.
You're only proving the point that media is what the author and the reader make it. TikTok, YouTube, social media on general aren't to blame. The publishers that focus on keeping attention above all else are the biggest problem.
Exactly. It had nothing to do with the form of media and everything to do with the motives of those creating it and publishing it. If they're just in it for the fame, or greed, of course it's going to be less focused on the facts or reality.
Or the poor. Or the disenfranchised. Or the rural. Knowledge being accessible is necessary. To say that only the affluent are intelligent is to reflect the attitude that is exactly why the Republicans have been so successful at co-opting the same people their policies hurt the most.
All forms of information can be valid and serve a real purpose. Imagine some dude in the dark ages decrying the printing press because it wasn't a real form of knowledge. Things that make information more accessible are good. All knowledge, printed, broadcast, or otherwise, is what you make it.
That's a tough slog! Good job sticking with it and nearing the finish line!

Most of mine are pretty packed. I try to run the printer as little as possible because my spouse is sensitive about the smell.
Finally got my printer settings dialed in for the #PhrozenRPG resin I switched to and have been rewarded with the gloriously loaded build plate full of #AnvilIndustry's Samurai models from this months Patreon.
The folks from my new day job are attending #PDXLAN this weekend. I was only able to make it out for a couple of hours, but it was a great time. These were some of the rugs I saw. I'll be better prepared next time!
We'd gotten behind on updating the rosters we use for playtesting, so last night, we pulled everything out and started on. Got a couple of them finished. There's still a lot left to do, but it's a start.
