I am a rabid KPDH enthusiast. Will defend this movie so hard because it is just a truly spectacular animation & music combo. If ONE DUDE using AI somehow manages to spoil it for the rest of us by destroying the franchise I probably would cry. The amount of respect I have for it artistically is 💥!

The idea of a movie with strong Asian heritage & cultural themes like this being decimated in reputation at the hands of one Tech BroDude would be so fucked! Kick him off the next movie if it were true. So no one else need worry and can get the proper accolades for their work without marring it.

There have been so many accusations that this movie was made with AI or generated somehow in part by use of it and if Vince is ONE singular person who ended up using it and it slanders the entire production by proxy, that would be super fucked! The rest of the people worked so hard for it 😭

Here is what I found online for this with screenshots (and I alt-texted best I could)

Screenshot of article: RM also posted photos taken with attendees at the time on Instagram stories. Instagram stories have only been exposed for 24 hours and are currently deleted. It is not known what kind of collaboration projects RM and Open Al executives will carry out in the future. At the official launch of Open Al held before the unofficial event on this day, producer Vince also had a conversation with Oliver Jay, the general manager of business.

Vince said, "When making K-pop, we use chat GPT to inspire," and introduced that Al technology is already being used in K-pop.

Fav moment from the launch celebration was hearing singer/songwriter Vince share that ChatGPT helped him write "Soda Pop" from KPop Demon Hunters! It apparently gave him ideas to make it sound "more bubbly"

Important thing to note regarding the two articles: the first article is specifically an English translation of the the second (Korean) article (the version on nate.com is a repost from the Korean version of Korea JoongAng
Daily, which can be found here).
Not only does the English version/translation of the article quote Vince differently, but it also has a note at the bottom stating that the English article was translated "with the help of generative Al tools." There is the distinct & very ironic possibility, that the idea that "Soda Pop" was in-part written with generative/ may itself be the result of an Al hallucination

Yeah, for sure. Articles from Korea JoongAng are confusing.
The English version says that Vince 'said' he used ChatGPT, and it links here. However, that linked article doesn't mention ChatGPT at all.
The Korean version of the article from Korea JoongAng Daily also doesn't mention anything about ChatGPT in relation to So V Pop. I have no idea how the English version

There is also a Korean language interview with Vincent that mentions the following:
"'Sodapop' was a bright demo song that I had sketched out on guitar a long time ago, about 7/8 years ago.I needed a bright song, so I offered it as "Ice Cream," but another producer tweaked it and it became Soda Pop"
