🐌🎉 One year ago this week, the Pyrenean Semi-slug (Semilimax pyrenaicus) was discovered new to Britain — found on Cwmaman Tip, near Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf.

A small species, but a big moment for British wildlife.

Yeap, imm. was carcinoides-sized (so I thought it was adult until the Unit turned up on the tray!). Found 1 adult and 5 imms. at a known location without too much effort. Epitome really distinctive down the scope (even in imms) and the carapace has a distinctive central anterior depression.
