I am currently picking myself back up. Trying to figure out whether to reapply.

I wanted to be the change I want to see.

I am still writing, though not for the past couple of days.

Not sure what lies ahead of me, but I know what's behind me: I'm NOT going back to that weight/lifestyle.

I had been working toward that since February.

I lost 60lbs on my way to getting in the best shape since Air Force basic training over 30 years ago. Possibly better shape.

I passed all the tests.

Made it to the end.

My entire family was on board.

But I was not chosen.

They don't tell you why.

Not sure how many posts this will be.

I've not been on here very much for a while. I continued to write, and work in the bourbon industry, but I was also working toward something else.

I found out Friday, I did not achieve that goal.

I had applied for the local police department.

My 2 cents...

Audiences, HUMAN audiences, WILL care whether Tilly has a pulse. Human beings want stories conveyed by humans, written by humans, that draw us into human emotions. We even gave the gods of myth human emotions. And those gods fell.

In the end, humans want humans.

Had to shut down my bank card because someone used it to fraudulently do something at the Yale Cabaret in New Haven, CT.

At least the thief is supporting their local arts scene. Can't hate them TOO much for that one.
