Father, husband, bourbon instructor, screenwriter. Come for the scripts, drinks, and fun; leave at the mention of loglines 😉
Anyone wanna read a sexed-up comedy that is so dumb you will blame me for losing two hours of your life you'll never get back, and then call *CE to have me deported for setting screenwriting back several decades?

Just thought I'd ask.

My take...

SPLASH x HOT FROSTY

She's sitting on a winner!!
Heads up that I would love another set of eyes on this one if you're game for a goofy romance feature.

Think SPLASH, but you know: dolphins.

Another #scriptsky winner I just read...

OPULENCE by @lisalueylutes.bsky.social is a HILARIOUS mockumentary set on a cruise ship.

It's also one of the fastest feature scripts I've ever read.

The jokes from the zany cast of characters never stop!

A BRILLIANT premise and execution!

Green light!

I just finished the most delightful little comedy script that women would eat up!

A FLUKE AFFAIR by @leahfromsd.bsky.social would absolutely sell and have an audience.

I know this based on something else in a similar vein...Hot Frosty. And we all know that was a big hit for Netflix!

Dreamt I was working in a nursing home, sold a box of Thin Mints to someone, then proceeded to pitch an elderly version of Hamlet to Ben Stiller who was working the front desk.

I don't know if I'm losing my mind, some level of inspired insanity, or...

The Fireball-laced egg nog I had before bed.

Sometimes I think about all these scripts I've written and that line from The Life of Chuck...

I contain multitudes.

Anyone need something read?

I'm between scripts.

It's ready.

If interested, DM and I'll send the logline.
I need to do another quick pass, but if anyone wants the logline for the dumbest I've ever written, and possible Black List submission, let me know.

Not posting publicly. AI and all that.

Although AI is probably too smart to write something this bad.

Are you missing those raunchy sex comedies of yesteryear?

Don't worry...

It's coming.

FADE OUT.
When this script is done, it'll be the dumbest thing I've ever written.

Might put it on the Black List.

Just finished reading BLACK DOG by @davidwalesnm.bsky.social.

What a beautifully written script. The dialogue is fantastic, with the action lines reading like poetry.

The characters are alive with their own specific voices.

It's one of the best scripts I've read.

Green light in a heartbeat.

Due to recent developments, I think my White House script matters more than it did before. Every part of what used to be is featured.

I think 1-2 more hours on this map and I'll be ready to go.

I'll either win all the awards (Oscars AND Razzies), or get banned from Screenwriting Bluesky.
I'm really close on this. I think maybe another week on the map and I'll be ready to write.

This script will be every bit...

Not sure how many posts this will be.

I've not been on here very much for a while. I continued to write, and work in the bourbon industry, but I was also working toward something else.

I found out Friday, I did not achieve that goal.

I had applied for the local police department.

With classes underway, I’ve switched from essays to exams. But with the death of the student essay (RIP, slain by ChatGPT), there’s a larger human tragedy: an erosion of critical cognition and the creation of two sharply divided classes of people: those who learn how to think and those who don’t:
The Death of the Student Essay—and the Future of Cognition
One professor's reflections on the end of an era, as AI tools such as ChatGPT have murdered the student essay (RIP). Here's why that threatens the future of human cognition—and how to save ourselves.

My 2 cents...

Audiences, HUMAN audiences, WILL care whether Tilly has a pulse. Human beings want stories conveyed by humans, written by humans, that draw us into human emotions. We even gave the gods of myth human emotions. And those gods fell.

In the end, humans want humans.

First draft of the outline complete.

Completely outrageous.

It will never sell.

I'm writing it anyway.
Am I working on a new outline for the most outrageous script I'll ever write? With possibly the greatest logline ever devised?

Yes. Yes, I am.
