Here’s the view folks had on I-95 South. Thanks to all of you who sent us so much positive energy today! (And to that one guy in the yellow roadster who gave us the single digit salute, we love you, too.)

Another beautiful evening on the overpass, and we had delicious homemade cookies made by a furloughed federal employee who appreciates our message!

BREAKING
NEWS
Speaker Mike Johnson
blames No Kings for the continued shut down.
Says it's a "hate America rally" for "the pro-Hamas wing" and
"the antifa people."
50501 Washington, D.C. - Today, House Speaker Mike Johnson blamed the peaceful No Kings Day of Action on October 18 for the ongoing government shutdown. After a few moments of laughter, the No Kings coalition issued the following statement:
"Speaker Johnson is running out of excuses for keeping the government shut down. Instead of reopening the government, preserving affordable healthcare, or lowering costs for working families, he's attacking millions of Americans who are peacefully coming together to say that America belongs to its people, not to kings.
"We'll see everyone on
October 18."
All No Kings events adhere to a shared commitment to nonviolent protest and community safety.
Organizers are trained in de-escalation and are working closely with local partners to ensure peaceful and powerful actions

A new bipartisan bill seeks to reinstate the national suicide hotline services for LGBTQ+ youth that Trump cut.

This is an especially vulnerable group who are now without specialized 988 services at a time when they need it most.
Bipartisan bill seeks to reinstate national suicide hotline for LGBTQ+ youth

The Columbia Democratic Club condemns all acts of political violence. There is no place in our democracy for such acts, regardless of political disagreements. The Kirk family, members of the Utah Valley University community, and all those impacted by this violence are in our thoughts at this time.
