when I realized the character I was writing was poised to be a character struck down from grace by Ishgard's tyranny and then would harbor a deep and intense hatred for it, I knew he needed to be foiled by the one woman who was the face of its commonfolk and was striving for something new.

Shrike's voice is somewhere between Messmer the Impaler and Clive FFXVI. But make it butch. And he has an Austrian accent. Imagining the first two is fine though.
