Congrats, that will be great!

Following great examples of care ethics in comics (@kellysue.bsky.social #fmlcomix and @jedmackay.bsky.social #moonknight), here is a deep dive on care ethics:

I was previously critical of X-Manhunt, but use it here to show a lot of the positive aspects of caring

Thanks for the shout-out and link. 😁 I should make this quote my new site description!
"Comics Philosophy has quietly been doing some fun stuff – it’s looking at comics characters through the filter of actual philosophy and arguing the moral systems characters seem to follow."

Yes, I can see some similarities in your style and Gillis. Glad you are continuing your Doctor Strange run! His was under-appreciated, but had some interesting dark vibes.

Sneakers was a classic - such a great cast and performances.

Loved this series as well as a kid ... including the fact that Marvel couldn't count (got the scores wrong over the 3 issues, claimed a 2-2 tie when it was a 3-1 win).

All is Lost is such a great film.

I can see see that, in the creativity to come up with those out-there panels!

Thanks, the series is such a fun read (and a Lydia is still gonna Lydia ... 😙)

FML comix by @kellysue.bsky.social @davidlopez.bsky.social Cris Peters @claytoncowles.bsky.social @laurennmcc.bsky.social is a hilarious, heartfelt and educational read. It expertly blends 3 virtue ethics theories: care ethics, Stoicism and Buddhism:

Good question. But while I am a dedicated Whovian, I never watched Red Dwarf, sorry. I suspect Kieron would be best placed to answer!
BTW, Edson Oda's excellent movie Nine Days (2021) has some similar themes. Sort of an updated Defending Your Life (1991).

Thank you for creating it. Always great to have such weighty ethics matter in comics.
Your Immortal X-Men was also invaluable for many of mutant character overviews - such clear, thoughtful, and consistent ethics.

Thanks - and yes, I've read it several times now, and keep finding new gems in it!

Going from the comics, to the TPBs, and now the Ominibus has each been a great excuse to re-read. ;)

Plus many great tie-stories to this series, including ones I've profiled above by Zeb Wells, @kellythompson.bsky.social @manruss.bsky.social and more.
It was fun analyzing the ethics of the characters from this 2022 Marvel event - a rich exploration of moral philosophy with religious relevance.

A.X.E.: Judgment Day was a fabulous examination of moral philosophy in comics.

But then you couldn't successfully sue Marvel for appearance infringement!

Oh wait, is that something only Evil Cav would do? 😈

Or something that could only happen in a Gwenpool comic? 🤔

Great story, beautifully drawn. Great old-school Doc Strange vibes, fitting with the continuation of a Peter Gillis-era storyline.

Nice story and tribute to the Peter Gillis run, thank you.
