Game recognizes game when it comes to Sharon Stone and the development of The Quick and The Dead, I guess. She knew what was up.

We’re so back (to watching a Sam Raimi movie with a loaded cast for the first time in probably 20 years).

What's it like to create during a crisis? I talked with members of the Minneapolis comic community like @trungles.com, @zandercannon.bsky.social, K. Woodman-Maynard, and more about making comics during ICE's occupation, the ICE Out Comics initiative, and more.

This is open to non-subscribers.

ICE's occupation in Minneapolis has affected everyone that lives there, and today on SKTCHD, I wrote about what it's like for comic creators in the area, and how they're using their art to tell the story of the city from their perspectives.

Liam was taken from Columbia Heights, the town just south of my high school in Fridley and just north of the Arts district in NE Minneapolis. I spent a lot of time with friends there after extracurriculars. News of his abduction completely broke my heart. I’m glad he’s home. #Comics4Liam

Ray and Pete from The Long Walk might be on the Mount Rushmore of most convincing movie friendships. Cooper Hoffman and David Jonsson should be in movies together for a long time.

There's never been an article I more wanted to get right than one of my two feature pieces for SKTCHD this week. We'll see if I do, but my first draft felt pretty good, and that's a good start.

I think Dr. Garcia has somehow become my favorite character on The Pitt during season two??? Every time she shows up I kind of want to shout out “GARCIA!” like she’s Norm from Cheers.

Catherine O'Hara made everything she was in better and was electric in everything she did, from Beetlejuice to The Studio. An absolute boss, a comedic legend, and one that will be dearly missed.

God, she was the best.

My Friday column is hitting a day later than usual this week for a very good reason, so I just wanted to give subscribers and patrons a heads up.
FYI: My Friday column Comics Disassembled will be my Saturday column this week, as Friday will be an off day on SKTCHD/Off Panel’s Patreon in support of the National General Strike.

(It’s already written, so expect it first thing Saturday morning)

A show about doing it. (Crime.) (…Ok and the other thing.) Very excited for Sex Criminals.

Oliver and I take on The Power Fantasy in the latest edition of Double Take, and spoilers, but we get into spoilers as we discuss its wild third arc and the events that lead up to it.

The Power Fantasy! A very good comic book!

My big win of the week: I got my comic shop to order a whole bunch of @peow.bsky.social books, including some great @decassette.bsky.social graphic novels and Stop!! Hibari-Kun! And apparently the staff loves them. Woo!

My wife Amber is the quiet superpower behind SKTCHD because I will ask her extremely random things like, "Can you help me make a header image that combines cliché YouTube graphics with the energy of The Mitchells vs. The Machines?" and then she does this.

She's the best.

A wild Chip Zdarsky appeared!

I'll be talking to Chip each month of 2026 for an interview series about anything and everything. This first edition digs into The State of the Zdarsky, but we're recording a new one on Monday that's going a MUCH different route. Should be fun, so check it out!
