Next to my Brian Wilson print on the stairs I have three (3) Jonathan Edwards prints and let me say, dear friends, that I regret hanging none (0) of them
That time of year again. This year’s winter mini print (the 10th!) is now available in my shop. jonathanestore.bigcartel.com

I have this print hanging at the foot of my staircase, it's a "ding dang" beauty if I do say so myself.
New A4 Brian Wilson 4 colour Riso print on my shop now.
A remake of the larger version made this year with a tiny production tweak & sand on the floor, this really turned out a peach.

Comics artists who work with writers, I am doing a class for young comics writers and I would like to include some ANONYMOUS quotes from artists about things they hate getting in scripts. More "17-panel pages and cross dialogue" than "horses and bicycles". My DMS are open. SECRECY ASSURED.

Can anyone think of a crop that is farmed at the north pole other than ice pops? It's funny that climate change doesn't seem to have affected ice pop availability at all. They really are nature's most plentiful bounty. What's your favourite flavour? Mine's blue - the taste of cool Arctic water.

Someone linked to this old page today and I think it might be the ur-page of my comics approach, depicting:

1. Petty bureaucracy
2. Made-up names of things
3. Flagrant overconfidence
4. People getting along
5. Guileless simps

I wish I could remember how to draw like this too, very visually concise

We lived in a pub when I was growing up and when I was 3 (50 years ago!) we had someone in to draw the pub for a business card. I sat next to him and watched him draw every line. I was transfixed and it was a huge inspiration for me. I’ve dreamt about owning that drawing for years…

I've been hearing from a lot of creators of late that the non-licensed space for comics has been painful to operate in, and today on SKTCHD, I finally wrote about it with insight from a bevy of creators.

It is, as one creator put it, "a lot."
It's a high time for the direct market, but non-licensed comics — i.e. creator-owned + other original comics — are going through a "wildly unpredictable" period.

In this week's feature, I talked to creators about navigating this uncertain time, what's fueling it, and how it's affecting their plans.
“It's Wildly Unpredictable”: Creators on Navigating an Uncertain Time for Non-Licensed Comics - SKTCHD
It’s a great time for the direct market. 1 Comic shops are thriving, new readers are getting onboard, and veteran fans are excited as well. More than that, the comics themselves are good, which genera...

Fresh meat was as precious as gold bullion back in the 70s. According, that is, to Letraset's dizzyingly exciting THE SWEENEY Super Action Transfers, which allowed kids to create violent scenes based on the classic post-watershed cop show. This meat blag is *carnage*, guv!
