Pinned post time! I'm Chris Mole, a writer, letterer and editor from Sheffield. My works include BRIGANTIA, THE BLACK RUBRIC, a ton of PROFESSOR ELEMENTAL COMICS and the toilet-themed anthology SECRETS OF THE MAJESTIC. Plus I'm a pretty mean guitarist if I say so myself..! 💪
Got tickets to go and see it next week when it's properly out and I am excited!

I remember watching a low quality rip of this song on YouTube in 2006, before a Japanese Studies class at University, and absolutely losing my mind at the 4-minute (and INCREDIBLE) guitar solo duel they added into the middle. Do yourself a favour and listen to it!

(the song is called みかんのうた!)
Okay, yeah, this game is aesthetic as shit 👌✨ #GhostOfYotei
The Midnight were absolutely phenomenal last night, first sold out crowd of the whole tour in Sheffield too! 💪
I think it's fair to say this is one of maybe two times where I have felt like I'm actually good at games, and I am now very done with this nightmarishly hard game (poison Cogfly spam ftw) 💪💪💪
Apple did a phenomenal job on my FF Tactics styled portrait way back - strong recommend whenever they're open for commissions!
Final Fantasy Tactics Remake is out!

the original was amazing so I recommend it!
anyway here are my favorite FF tactics Portraits I've done -w-
I know I'm late to the party, but - Longlegs 😬 Really enjoyed that, utterly mental Nic Cage and all!
No official Shocktober this year, but we're marking the start of Spooky Season with the original RINGU (which I don't think I've actually watched before!)
Truly, I have spent at least 3 hours dying to this boss and I am having a shitty time, even if I eventually beat her the satisfaction will not outweigh how much this is pissing me off
Why the fuck am I playing this game again
I deeply enjoyed how incredibly restrained your quotes were in this given that you could have been (and probably wanted to so, so much harsher 😂
It was genuinely a hockey pilgrimage 🙏
My entire trip there was like a big warm hug (despite the massive snow drifts) and I want to go back so badly!
Okay but this made me almost tear up because it's nearly ten years since I went there and I miss Pittsburgh so much 😭 youtu.be/h2lw0LSWYlA?...
Pittsburgh - the most surprisingly wonderful city in America.

Possibly the most aggravatingly difficult part of an extremely difficult game - I'm reminded of why I don't play shit like Elden Ring 🥲
Thank christ that's over, never again
Am I enjoying myself? No, not at all. Then why am I doing it? Because every enemy in Act 3 appears to hit 200% harder and I will die very quickly if I don't upgrade the needle again. But that said, I am very close to my breaking point of absolutely rage-quitting this game 🤬
I just got 64 FUCKING SECONDS on Flea Dodge. I needed 66 to win and never have to do this minigame ever again.

I am going to put the controller through the TV if this continues.
I have never in my life felt the desire to flame a game developer, not once.

These flea minigames in Silksong are pushing me to the absolute brink. This is actual sadism and I am ENRAGED.
My power of "recognising actors in things" has never been tested so sorely 💪
We put the first episode of Goodness Gracious Me on for a comfort watch and got to the "going for an English" sketch, at which point I said "wait, hold on... is that waiter @neilnewbon.bsky.social?"

LO AND BEHOLD 🤯
First full (ish) practice in almost 10 years with the Northern Oak crew last night and it's amazing how quickly things come back to you! #Reunited

Reminds me of a line in The Blackberry movie, of all places, that "good enough" is the enemy of humanity.

And a good reminder that the Luddites were badasses who didn't oppose technology out of some misguided attempt to hold back progress, but because they actually *cared* about the end product.
