"it's not that difficult" to not run for office, either!

it was definitely Fate that those two teams faced each other in the playoffs

I really just would like the Ravens to maybe notice that Derrick Henry, for everything he's been great at, is not a particularly good short-yardage back. The info's out there.

I miss Gus Edwards (partially because we share a first name)

The Trump administration has been spreading anti-vaccine propaganda for months. Tonight, Trump's physician announced he just received a flu shot and a COVID booster.

I can't believe it but the Mariners actually won

I remember when I was worried about the game ending while I was en route to work. I have now been at work for an hour and a half.

Speier making a strong case for Least Valuable Player for the Mariners. Ouch.

the threat of Cooper Rush...uh...rushing...it doesn't inspire fear in your heart??

But anyway, yeah obviously Hutch is a freak. I just thought this should be a step forward year for the O-line after getting new/new-ish starters settled last year. So far it's not looking like that!

I'm concerned that the Ravens line as a significant factor that might prevent them from getting back into the picture. I know they've played vs. some good/creative defenses, but when Lamar freakin' Jackson is getting hit as often as vs. Detroit...it's not just Stanley being banged up.

vlad guerrero jr is the product of a 30+ year project to concentrate an entire planet's psychic resentment against the yankees into the form of a single human

their schedule the rest of the way is pretty much guaranteed to produce a "hot at the right time" narrative. and maybe they will be. but wow, the o-line and defense are struggling so far (and yes the Bills, Lions, and Chiefs are all good, but...)

the fact that so many people frame autism as “a problem that needs to be solved” is a constant reminder that being “not normal” isn’t acceptable to a large amount of the world. it’s the same reason there’s a trans panic right now too. they think people are defective

Some pretty incredible September meltdowns going on in MLB, I must say

his preferred method of covering Bills receivers by "running five yards under a route and then being surprised when the ball went over him to an open receiver" has gotta be at least a factor

in some ways, it's still bizarre to me that this is the same guy who used to write stats-nerd stuff about baseball

there is where I'm at with the whole game -- either the Fins have fight left in them, rally behind the four things they do well, and come out swinging, or they'll absolutely disgrace themselves and the game'll be another nail in McDaniel's coffin (which he willingly climbs into).

It was always a fucking genocide. Even before the bombing, & the fences, & the annexations. Israel as a project is predicated on the erasure of Palestinians. If you're late to the party on that, welcome. Now, make up for lost time.

A friend of mine was on Charlie Kirk's "watch list" of Black professors. She received so many death and rape threats that her university offered her a security detail for the walk to class.

This is Kirk's legacy.

You would never know it from reading all of these legacy newspaper op-eds about him.

It’s nobody’s fault but your own if the world is unmistakably a better place with you dead.

Liberals are doing the right’s job for it.

By lionizing Charlie Kirk and refusing to acknowledge his real political project, they’re giving power to the right’s completely predictable effort to use his death to forward their goal of an authoritarian, fascist state.

This is an absolutely deranged thing to say about a proponent of political violence and unfettered gun access who died from getting shot.

The best way to honor Charlie's memory is to continue his work: engage with each other, across ideology, through spirited discourse. In a democracy, ideas are tested through words and good-faith debate — never through violence.

lol this is what they fired him for saying
He added about Kirk, “He’s been one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or sort of aimed at certain groups. And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions. And I think that is the environment we are in. You can’t stop with these sort of awful thoughts you have and then saying these awful words and not expect awful actions to take place. And that’s the unfortunate environment we are in.”

Thousands of people, kids too, are dead in no small part due to the kind of firearm policies & the culture of hate exhorted by Kirk,- to say nothing of his genocide apologia.

The fact that international liberal "leadership" is falling over itself to project mourning for this bigot is perverse.

"political violence is never acceptable," is a phrase you don't hear politicians say after cops beat the shit out of peaceful demonstrators
