Wield your power to change the world for people, animals, and the planet.
🔥Emergencies can happen at any time: fires, extreme weather, organized violence. If you need to evacuate/escape quickly, you won’t have time to stop & fill your gas tank/charge your car. Keep your car fueled/charged at no lower than ¾ full & know the fueling/charging stations near you.

Start your collection now, and get some for your home, your car, and your go-bags. You may also want to consider bike maps of your area.
Digital maps are great—until we don’t have access to them. Collect paper maps of your & surrounding regions (& get a road atlas of your country) in case you need to evacuate or escape to a safer area & grids/Wi-Fi are down.

Most US states will mail you a free road map.✋🐾🌍💚

Refusing to cooperate w/ systems that exploit people, animals & the planet only works if we simultaneously create alternatives that meet our individual & collective interspecies needs: mutual aid, community care, shared food, habitat protection, etc.
Resistance & reinvention go hand-in-hand. ✋🐾🌍💚

Especially in this era of chatbots, state-sponsored disinformation & unethical powermongers, it’s vital to verify information (news, memes, quotes, etc.) before we share it. Even when well-intentioned, spreading false information harms people, animals & the planet. Check out the what/why/how.🧵

Destructive systems won’t end unless we stop participating in them & build something better. We can’t cut ties to everything, but we can jettison what we don’t need, and build compassionate, resilient alternatives together, e.g., community gardens, skills exchanges & cooperative childcare.

We keep a 5-gallon food-grade bucket full of bulk packets of the organic spices we use most. Not only is buying bulk spices cheaper, it creates less packaging & it means that when there are supply-chain issues, we can still season our food (or trade with neighbors for other supplies we might need).

#CollapseResilience is about more than “prepping” your family. It’s about building skills, mutual aid, resources, and resilience in your neighborhood and community. That might seem overwhelming, but you can start with a few simple questions to help you get a baseline and identify areas for action.

Collapse resilience isn’t just about preparing for the inevitable or protecting our families. It requires that we refuse to normalize harm, stand in solidarity w/ those most impacted (human AND nonhuman) & transform how we live. Ethical living + meaningful action aren't optional amidst collapse.

Publicly showing solidarity w/ just causes & vulnerable communities matters. It affirms our values, inspires others & reminds those being oppressed that they’re not alone. We posted these on our home/car & have gotten others to do likewise. Of course, resistance must go beyond signs & social media.

It’s no wonder our ecological footprints are so high when we’re inculcated from birth to be champions of consumption and waste.

The question isn’t when collapse starts. It’s:

👉 How do we take action now, while we still can?
👉 How do we support each other in transforming how we live on earth & building resilience in the face of deepening crises?
👉 How do we ensure we don’t leave anyone—human or nonhuman—behind?

When the need for evacuation happens—wildfires, storms, chemical spills, extended outages—you won’t have time to hunt for essentials. Create an evacuation checklist now: food, water, meds, important documents, ID, pet supplies, phone + chargers, maps, etc., & note where each item is stored.
