Well gang, my LP Donkey Kong Country 2 has come to a close. But what a time it was! I'd never completed it 100% (or 102%) before, so it was fun to finally see everything the game had to offer.

Seeing people make judgments based on a game's file size is absolutely nuts.

Like, Nintendo are known to have crazy good compression.

You know, games don't need to be 100GB+ for it to be worth it.

Unfortunately, the "correct" choices can be punishing as well. There are some big difficulty spikes leaving you to grind levels to stand any chance.

I don't like using guides the first time through a game, but in this case, I would recommend one. At least to point yourself in the right direction.

Absolutely. I played it for the first time well after the Dreamcast era, and I had the same feeling. The writing, the story, the characters, the music, the world it takes place in, all spectacular. The battle system isn't ground breaking, but even so, it did some cool stuff you don't really see.

Oh my, yes, Panzer Dragoon Saga would be fantastic. There is a team that's been (slowly) working on the other Panzer Dragoons, so maybe they'll get around to it. Their remake of the first game was really good, at least.

I think they have to license it from someone else, but I'm not 100% on that. I remember there being come speculation a number of years back when Sega did something with the copyright for Vyse, only for it to ultimately be for his inclusion in Sonic All-Stars Racing.

Happy birthday to Skies of Arcadia, released in Japan on this date in 2000!

An incredible RPG that unfortunately didn't get the recognition it deserved back then. Even now it's a rarity, but those who have played it know what an adventure it is!

One of my all-time faves.

Yeah, I liked Yooka Laylee. I'm a little curious to see how it's changed, but maybe not curious enough to buy the game again.

Lots of chatter about Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 these days!

The first one is still one of my favorite Mario games of all time. The second is fun too, but somehow the "vibe" just feels different. It doesn't feel as cohesive to me.

But that game disk though.
