It's very possible if she does earn Emma's or Reyes respect she might just completely lose interest in them, or it might become a different coping mechanism for her trauma, hard to say. I like the theory though how confident am I in it? uhhhhhh not that much lol, but y'know gotta take your shots.

How much of this is true is well up in the air, but I was bored and had an idea so decided to share. I don't think this really has any influence on the whole who will she date shit, both of them are viable candidates for what Morgan desires someone to beat someone to earn respect from.

Either way I think the reason Emma and Reyes catch Morgan's attention is the same reason she unconsciously choose those victims. They remind her of her mother, and she wants to prove herself over them. Either by murder, teasing, beating them in court, but she also wants their respect.

One last thing I think? this has been a pretty unstructured yap lmao, but this moment also catches my attention. The thing that throws Morgan off the most about Reyes. is being complimented by her. The one time she actually shows some respect towards Morgan, she doesn't know how to react.

For a bit of a deeper dive lets look at the times Reyes got under her skin. Couple things, one being called Evangeline think it's pretty obvious why this bothers her, but the other I find interesting. Being told to cover her mouth when she yawns. Type of shit your parents tell you to do, which...

So we have this girl who has traits which likely reminds her of her mother, who refuses to give her acknowledgement or respect, and well Reyes hates her. Or she assumes she does. It's pretty obvious why Morgan enjoys bothering her. Practically the perfect punching bag to push down her trauma.
