I always thought MLK’s ‘Mountaintop’ speech was his best, which was given the day before he was killed. It is especially relevant given what is happening now in MN and elsewhere. He was getting many serious threats, which he references in his line “I may not get there with you.”

As a straight white man from the imperial core, I can understand this sentiment.

But ask anyone from a marginalized community how well those systems have protected them.

We are only just now experiencing what they lived for centuries.

Do it because it's the right thing to do.

Anyone who thinks non-compliance should be an automatic death sentence should not be allowed around your children, your partner/spouse, your pets, or your succulent plants.
