Again on Queen though: she is almost ALWAYS just depicted as girlboss funny mother metaphor. And the parallels she has to the mothers of DR are super interesting!! But she is more outside of that too yknow

This is much clearer in Queen's treatment, but Gerson's is also strange in that... no one really talks about him at all? His dialouge is used for theory and analysis but his character is rarely discussed in my experience

I think theres something to be said about how Queen and Gerson are watered down by the fandom to "the funny characters", when there is definitely depth and emotion to them outside of their comedy. They also tend to be discussed only in relation to Other Characters
