Better in the second half, but gave ourselves far too much to do. The first half was a shocker, and Slot got the approach all wrong. #LFC

Really disappointing approach to the game after such a good week. Far too negative in how we’ve went at City and despite more than a bit of bad fortune, we’ve probably got what we deserved. #LFC

We don’t yet trust Wirtz in the tight spaces, he’s begging for it at at times but the safe option is chosen. Not just today, been a theme so far when he’s operating in the 10. #LFC

Courtois is a cheat-code, an absolute nightmare to play against. The Szoboszlai one he tried to chip in the first half, on the replay Courtois had literally every angle covered, he’s an incredible keeper.

The full midfield were tremendous again, Salah improving game after game again, starting to manage the Robertson/Kerkez situation sensibly, so many positives. We still need to be better on the counter attack, could’ve scored a couple at the end. And more ruthless in front of goal in general. #LFC

This has felt like a particularly odd season for managerial signings, 4 or 5 clubs feel like they’ve ended up worse off because of their decision to sack managers, and quite a few cases of managers looking like they’re at the wrong club.
Sacked by Wolves because they thought he couldn’t get them out of relegation trouble, now about to be hired by Wolves to get them out of relegation trouble. Football can be properly weird at times.

We controlled a game!!!! Lucky enough to be in Anfield to see it, talk of Mo Salah’s demise is very much premature, and I want to be Gravenberch when I grow up. #LFC
