Soundgarden are officially in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and it’s about time! One of the most innovative bands of their generation and some truly fantastic people. A night I’ll never forget. Chris Cornell forever 🤘

What are some of the books that you read that you really liked?

The internet, across the board and in every conceivable way, has never been worse in my lifetime. On the plus side, I'm reading more books than ever.

Over 50 on the year so far and still cooking.

I'll never forget the week that 'Black Messiah' dropped. 14 years of build-up and expectation, and D'Angelo knocks it out of the galaxy with one of the most mind-bending albums I've personally ever heard. Still nothing like it to this day.

Absolutely stunned. RIP D’Angelo. One of the true greats.

I recently went on a Grizzly Bear viewing expedition with the Homalco First Nations people in BC, Canada. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life.

We spotted 11 different grizzlies filling up on salmon along the Orford River before bunking down for their long winter hibernation.

One of the best pieces by Kaleb Horton ever is no longer easily available, because of course MTV wouldn't maintain actual good music writing done for its site once. Thankfully I found it again via some digging: his 2016 memorial to Merle Haggard on his passing. Link here, screencaps to follow.

Kaleb Horton was a fantastic writer. One of the best and most compelling of our generation. Few captured the real California like he did. I really can’t believe he’s gone.

Neil Young in Woodinville last night. Unreal show! Was beginning to think I’d never get to see the man onstage again and couldn’t have been more impressed. Rust Never Sleeps indeed 🤘

Caught Nine Inch Nails in Seattle last night. Absolutely ripper! Almost 20 years exactly since the first time I saw them on the ‘With Teeth’ Tour in ‘05🤘

One of the greatest Track one / Side one’s of all-time. A bone-chilling statement of ill-intent. It was all there from the very beginning.

All venues should always provide all attendees free water always, and especially in the summer. Really screwed up that this isn't standard procedure universally

Genius. Visionary. But most of all: Original.

There’ll never be another Sly Stone.
RIP.
