The US president celebrated the “tremendous progress” of his team and appeared to deny speculation that Russia had authored the controversial initial 28-point plan that was revealed last week.

Russia launched another large-scale overnight attack on Monday, striking Kyiv with Shahed drones and missiles. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, at least seven people were killed and more than 20 others, including a child, were injured. Ukraine’s Energy Ministry described the strike as “a massive combined attack” on the country’s energy system, saying facilities in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions were hit. Meanwhile, Ukrainian drones carried out overnight attacks on Russia’s Krasnodar and Rostov regions, targeting key military infrastructure.
