I think the reason why some of us can feel awkward or embarrassed about a story meaning a lot to us is simply because it’s impossible to actually quantify WHY the things that mean the most to us do.

And really, better YA books were there before Harry Potter, and better YA books have been written since. At best, Harry Potter adults seem incapable of expanding their horizons. That doesn’t even really make me angry, it just makes me kinda sad.

I got A’s across the board on all of my final projects for the semester. Still some areas that need to be improved, though.

I’m not really sure actually. Return of the King in theaters was pretty damn awesome, my first experience of audiences cheering at the movie.
Weirdly enough, Star Trek 2009 had a really wild crowd.
The audience where I saw Rogue One was also a blast.

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

I’ve never been simultaneously so happy with but also kind of angry at myself. Took me until my thirties to actually start getting my life together.

After days of worrying over my app assignment, I finally had to present some comps of the almost completed product to the professor and he loves it so far. The most encouraging words to hear from someone after getting in your own head for so long are “keep going.”
