How is Jared Leto still getting cast in would-be blockbusters?

In the last 12 years the only thing he was in that didn’t underperform or outright bomb was House of Gucci, which was an ensemble movie nobody remembers.

HOW is he still getting lead work in $100million+ movies?!?

It’s so infuriating to me when people defend a famous person with “oh it’s ok though, they made a donation to charity because they felt bad,” but then can’t name the charity or the amount donated.

With that nightmare of a comedy festival behind us, I'll just say this. I was only genuinely surprised by two names:
Gabriel Iglesias
Wayne Brady

The rest were either a minor "oh, so they don't care about rights, it was an act all along" confirmation, literally zero surprise, or I didn't know them.

No, they do, but they go by the strictest "letter of the law" definition. It only counts if it's said against a protected class. Saying hate speech and directing it at say, a proxy for that class, or a larger group heavily made up of that class is totally fine apparently.

After YouTube's "community violations" strike I took a training to get it cleared. Basically a quiz to identify hate speech. It's extremely curious that most of the instances had the correct answer be "this isn't hate speech." Almost like they were giving examples of what can be gotten away with.

The point is simply to get enough of the country to look the other way while a group is de-personed and stamped under a boot. With that precedent set, they get to just move on to the next group.
It's not about us: it's about proving they can do it to anybody.

Trans people are a target of convenience. The point is not that they actually think we're the worst. The point is we're less than 1% of the population and they think they can use us to establish that dehumanization and open oppression will be accepted.

As a fellow ADHD sufferer, I found it helps to say out loud where I need to go when you get the preview.
"Top"
"Bottom"
"Middle"
"Bottom"
"Middle"
etc.

The last one still gets me sometimes but not as consistently as it used to.
