Look around at the media and politics. The lesson is clear. Talk absolute bollocks and you have it made.

No doubt he's part of the Tufton Street grift to take it over. But perhaps his subconscious mind envies its name. His vast ego can't accept that he will never have national trust.

💯 to all of that.

Absolutely. And a die-off of Brexit supporters may improve the trustworthiness of our electorate. If Reform gains ground however I don't think Europe will be impressed.
countzerorepeat.bsky.social
How odd. Having spent the last few months in Europe living with people from various backgrounds and relating their attitudes to the UK is now considered wrong. Reality doesn't give a fig for ideology. Have a lovely day.

Sadly we are a figure of fun around the world and in the EU particularly. Normal Island. It's why I can't take the mick out of American friends for Trump as much as I'd like.

Nick Robinson, Justin Webb. To name two advocate journalists for the right and far right. Many more within the ranks. Johnson appointed much of the BBC board and it should be cleaned out ASAP.
countzerorepeat.bsky.social
Agreed. But the problem is convincing Europe that our electorate isn't going to vote for any shyster waving a flag and promising jam tomorrow. Plus the large number of Brexit-supporting media here that can't admit Brexit was disastrously wrong for the country but fabulous for their career and wealth

#Reform relies on ignorance, intolerance, and xenophobia. No wonder it's doing well.

Don't upset Nigel's big money backers. We all know Fagend is a megalomaniacal pub bore but the likes of Webb and Robinson may need extra income in years to come.
countzerorepeat.bsky.social
In the UK and US the majority of the media class are rich and consequently lobby for that cohort. Hence their attraction to low tax, no tax, small state shysters like Farage or the Republican party.
If media is lying to you, turn it off.

Deny them them the power.

#r4today is there any far-right political party Webb doesn't like or platform?

A word from Trump's sponsors.

The BBC is slowly but surely destroying Radio 4 as well. It’s the last bastion of intelligent debate in Britain, yet it’s increasingly becoming a vehicle for culture wars. When the history of the UK in this period is written, the BBC will have a lot to answer for when it comes to stirring division

So so sad. It's going to get a reaction but you can't deny the passion behind the words, and they demand attention.

#politicslive this is dire. Topics, bookings, the lot.
Feeble journalism.
Hope we're not paying too much for this rubbish.

Jenrick is getting full coverage of his speech on #Sky #BBC #GBNews. Speech like the man himself is mediocre. He's now using props and addressing people who aren't there at the back of the room. This man is as hate-filled and desperate for power as Farage.

Don't forget that 41 Tory MPs in the last government took Russian donations. That might account for media reticence to report on the Nathan Gill case.

Every time I look at a screen I see the worst of humanity using power to punch down. Lots of excuses to do it, race, ideology etc but at base it's sadism born from a decadent class of super-rich who believe they are above the law and immune to consequences for their actions.
