Based on their callous disregard for workplace precautions in their book, Macedo & Lee would surely approve of Tyson's prioritizing cost-benefit analysis over employee health & well being. OSHA was no match for Tyson & other companies with inadequate Injury/Illness plans for mitigating COVID harms.
During the height of the pandemic, Tyson used Palantir to predict Covid-19 infections among meatpacking workers down to a nearly exactly figure. But rather than using this data to increase worker protections, Tyson used it plan for labor shortages + plant closures

Based on their callous disregard for workplace precautions in their book, Macedo & Lee would surely approve of Tyson's prioritizing cost-benefit analysis over employee health & well being. OSHA was no match for Tyson & other companies with inadequate Injury/Illness plans for mitigating COVID harms.
