Tried Atomicrops today thanks to the Steam sale and it is SO incredibly weird but also weirdly super fun and bizarre and I have no idea what I’m doing but I need to keep playing so I can figure it out 😂 #indiegame

I’ve been in the indie space (both books and later, games) for about 18 years now. This post is inspiring because frankly being an indie is hard and sometimes unrewarding. It doesn’t mean we’re all going to quit our day jobs, but it is OKAY to take inspiration where you can so you can Keep. Going.
If you're an indie developer, you should hang this screenshot on your wall and use it as inspiration to never give up

Just watched that Netflix docuseries on the history of games and I’m curious, what’s the first game you ever played?
Mine was minesweeper, then solitaire. Arcades weren’t a huge thing in South Africa back then so that’s pretty much what I had access to 😂 #retrogames #gaming

What I love most about BlueSky is that gimmicky engagement bait that doesn’t actually add any value does not do well. It feels like the most real social media atm 🙌🏼
