It’s a very goblin lunch but I like a cheesy mayonnaise toast with tomatoes and a minced herbs/garlic/lemon zest mixture on top with a generous seasoning of salt and pepper

On the plus side I bought 200lbs of clay to start the spring semester. on the downside, I now have to transport 200lbs of clay a quarter mile and through three different elevators to my class.

Crying over the memes coming out of the men’s curling incident. I never thought I’d see the day that curlers almost get into a fist fight. I understand Sweden’s frustration though and the judges were…useless?? They refused to make a call?

Wow I am devastated for Ilia but OVER THE MOON for Kazakhstan’s Shaidorov, he skated his absolute heart out, watching him lay in the middle of the ice happy crying after his perfect skate was truly beautiful

After MANY years of resisting ereaders, I finally caved and got a kobo so I could easily read while taking my elder dog on his snail paced walks where it takes us 30 minutes to go a quarter of a mile, and godtamn, they are great, I've read 12 books since the beginning of January.

Some more shots of the cover and slipcase for this. Since STATION ELEVEN jumps back and forth over the course of twenty years, before/after, I wanted to bring that sense of lapsed time to the packaging. Folio told me they’ve never tried something like this before. I’m thrilled they took a chance!

Really excited to announce my second book for Folio Society. STATION ELEVEN came to me many years ago exactly when I needed it the most. A book about the endurance of art, about remembering and forgetting and about forgiveness, I was so honored that Folio asked me to illustrate it. Out on March 3rd!
