Hi, my name is Andrew and I’m a ginger-haired disabled writer and alternative film poster designer from the UK.

This is the first time I have posted any of my doodlings here. Be gentle.

The poster is a mixture of photo manipulation and graphics, on an off- white paper background. The lower two thirds is completely filled with heavily saturated green plant life, with the viewpoint looking up towards an all-encompassing dome of white framework. The top third has the title ’Silent Running’ written in a bold, sans-serif type, with the tag and billing block underneath, also in sans-serif. In the top right corner, is a blue-black triangular portion of the night sky, with pinkish planets, and a moon made from negative space, which shows the off-white paper underneath. The poster is in a manipulated photo style on a dirty, grainy black background. There are three Mini Coopers facing to the left, staggered slightly, and coloured in monochrome red, white, and blue. The synopsis reads: There’s always hope, especially when there’s none. Poppy and Teela wake from Hiber to discover their ship has been knocked off course. It’s okay though, everything will be alright. Just send a transmission. Help will come. Help must come. Lost in space, trapped in an aging delivery ship, the two must contend with each other and figure out a way to stay alive and sane. Arguments are won and lost, food grows scarce, and the days begin to merge – passing by in hazy nightmares. Even in the darkest times, beauty still grows. The celebrations and dancing, reminiscing and crying, feasting and laughing all endure.

Whilst sold as YA, this is a book like no other YA you will read. Dark, disturbing, and a challenge at times, it's an enthralling tale, asking questions about good, evil, mortality, urban decay and the notion of leaving your past behind.
