Average NFL third down conversion percentage in 3rd and 5 is 46%.
In 3rd and 7, that drops all the way down to 36%.
It's okay to draft run stoppers that get you into 3rd and 7 instead of 3rd and 5. Even if they don't get the sacks themselves, they help your pass rush.

I love Geno but this trade makes sense with a young HC with a vision to build a roster how they really want it. They clearly decided that they didn’t want to carry over from Pete era. If you want to build a younger deeper roster, you need cap space…but you better draft your ass off

Offensively, you don’t need a top 5 QB to win a Super Bowl. You need an elite O line, great run game, a good QB that plays his best in big moments, and an offense that makes his job easier. Elite QBs can only elevate guys so much but if those guys are getting their ass whooped, that QB is too.
