I think the issue here is that Gabbard herself (et al.) is herself a threat to democracy and national security, so obviously is targeting anyone devoted to protecting these.
I'm one of the 37 targeted below by DNI Tulsi Gabbard. I haven't had a clearance nor worked in government since 2013. This is political theater & a dangerous example of government abusing its powers to punish private citizens for openly exercising their 1st Amendment rights. My full statement:

I don't know what the short-term effect will be, but I'm pretty sure that all of the "establishment" Democrats lining up behind Cuomo are doing more long term damage to the party than to progressives #democrats

The way that Anthropic (and OpenAI) talk about the dangers of their models is bizarre. I’m not sure if they really believe this stuff or they just want to talk up the possibilities of rogue AI in a way that makes it sound like they are much closer to really being intelligent than they really are 1/x

As a Jew, the admin’s focus on antisemitism as the primary litmus test for immigrant acceptance makes me profoundly uncomfortable. For Jews who support this: when has anything like this ever worked out well for us?

Our only hope of continuing to live in a (at least somewhat) democratic nation is to not submit to illegal laws and proclamations. If dissidents could do it in the USSR, we have no excuse for not doing it in the USA. #resist
