Something that's not exactly problematic but I block people over is when someone uses "its my special interest" as an excuse to infodump about a closed culture and assumes their Google search trumps lived experiences of people from that culture when it comes to accuracy. +all their sources are white

This is no accident. The groups behind age-verification laws have been explicit that they regard "gender ideology" and nearly any representation of LGBTQ+ existence as pornography

AV is government censorship. Platforms are either designating LGBTQ+ content NSFW or removing it all together.

“I honestly can't even think of words to describe how vile this is. Here's a screenshot of what I now see when I search "lgbt" with my VPN switched off. Occasionally a banner appears at the top of the screen saying something about needing to verify ID to access "mature content" but the button doesn't even work. The fact that we're now considered "mature content" makes me feel sick.”

I'll seriously spend 13 hours a day on tiktok, go to bed at 4am bc I lost track of time, and wake up and immediately open tiktok. I have no other coping mechanism left, no hobbies, doing anything else feels like sand paper to my brain.

The thing I love about places that don't have algorithms

is that I love being able to just interact w/ a piece of art because I like it.

No worrying about "But if I touch this, THIS TOPIC will be all over my feed". There's certain series I avoid but I still love good art when I see it.
