It's 12,026 people.

If you're being annoyed by the way you're getting notifications on your phone... that's YOUR fault.

If you're not aware of what's going on (in your friends group, in your city, in the world)... that was YOUR choice.
It's a pet peeve of mine when people choose to not bother with setting up their notifications for an app intelligently, and then they get annoyed with getting notifications, and then they decide to not bother checking the app at all anymore, and now claim they weren't informed about big events.

"How did we get here???" cries newly unemployed journalist after decades of passive-voice treatment for inhumanities and both-siding one-sided issues.

I care DEEPLY about journalism. I feel NO sympathy for "journalists" who created the crisis in journalism, one mealy-mouthed statement at a time.

It's hard to tell what's just the bad timing of my own undiagnosed non-circadian sleep disorder, and what's depression (possibly PTSD related) induced by the wonton criminality of the most powerful government on the planet, but either way I'm struggling to be awake enough to get things done today.

Blackbagging the president of another country like this is meant as an act of intimidation to ALL other foreign heads of state and government.

Countries of the world, I beg you, do not fall for this intimidation ploy. You must defend yourself against us. The evil empire is coming for you.

@sandiegomts.bsky.social So you advertise free rides on NYE, but then have no trains at 2am when the clubs let out? Shame on you. I mean it, shame on you. Making girls wait for more than an hour in the rain and cold at stops with zero security? Absolute failure at planning.

@signal.org It seems that on Desktop (Windows 10 Pro) that I can't move my video preview (the self-view) around during a video call?

Can you please change this, or let me know how to do it if it's already an option?

It makes a BIG difference to put the preview near the physical camera.

Amazing how many lifetimes it's been since "Person, woman, man, camera, tv".

I've spent Thanksgiving week with lots of family, introducing my nephews to Star Wars movies and to roleplaying games, watching movies I've missed, and eating amazing food.

It's been a great trip and I'm grateful for all the awesome people I have in my life!

News like this makes me think of all the ex-friends who I cut off because of their association with MAGA.

It makes me feel 100% justified in cutting them off. Good riddance.
Exclusive: The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify the swastika, nooses and the Confederate flag as hate symbols.

The military service drafted a new policy that classifies them as “potentially divisive.”

Hey folks,

I just had to renew my health insurance and I’ve got to pay my car registration this month—all while I’ve finally got the big move to a permanent new home underway. I could use about $300 so I don’t get overdrawn in a few days. See the post below if you can help. Many thanks.

They are cosplaying as an occupying army because that is what they are
I simply refuse to accept that police ever have to look like this. this is just pure cosplay. it should be illegal for cops to be dressed like soldiers going to war.

I've been thinking a lot about getting back on Instagram because an unreasonable number of people are still using it, but everytime I log in to the AoA's official account I see just how much it bombard users with advertising and slop, and then I'm like, "...no, I'm good actually."

The absolutely incompetent MAGA regime has officially fucked up my plans to go see my father who is dying of cancer.

A government which cannot keep critical FAA staff paid, does not deserve to exist.

Life has all kinds of challenges and stressor, but it's also got lots of great moments too.

I'm glad I've learned to learn into them and soak them up for every drop.

Cheers to some great food and drink, productive days, and learning new skills all day everyday!

Anyone on active duty in the U.S. Navy right now should be ashamed to be associated with this, even if they have nothing to do with it directly.

Remember how when Vietnam veterans came home they had pigs' blood thrown on them? Do y'all want to go back to that???

Then as an institution, STOP.

It's hard to express how much it hurts that the USMC has thrown away its reputation, and in a VERY short amount of time.

I was taught that it was my responsibility to ensure future Marines got free drinks the same way I was getting them, but now there will be no free drinks for anyone.

It hurts.

There's lots of people to blame for Trumpism, but I think Aileen Cannon will be the person the far future remembers as most at fault for enabling all of the atrocities to come.

She could have made the law apply to Trump, and she chose to be dishonest instead.

It's a noble goal to strive for better logical consistency: in our lives, personal principles, laws, etc.

But it needs to be moderated by contextual awareness, global comprehension, and even innovative ideation.

Ultimately we are human, and to be human is to be full of inconsistencies.

Please read the article, so you can put yourself in this young man's shoes. Undoubtedly he just wanted to diffuse the situation, so he offered to "talk" in a non-cooperative way.

But there is a better approach we all MUST learn:

You should (politely) refuse to talk to law enforcement.
I obtained video of two FBI agents visiting an anti-ICE protester not charged with any crime.

While the media continue to mock Trump's war on "Antifa" as legally impossible, the FBI is quietly implementing it with investigations like these:

Trump is an evil monster.

He has not yet committed atrocities on the scale of Hitler, Stalin, or Mao; but "yet" is the operative word because Trump actually has *more* capability than they did to create suffering.

He and his ilk must be stopped.

We must return to sanity.
